Mec-Gar built this magazine specifically for shooters running a CZ 75 Compact, Shadow 2 Compact, P-01, or 75D PCR who want a flush-fit option that holds one more round than the standard factory magazine. That extra round comes without any change to the magazine’s overall length or profile, so the grip feel and holster fit remain exactly the same as with the original equipment mag.

The tube is constructed from heat-treated carbon steel, which gives the body enough rigidity to maintain consistent feeding geometry under sustained use. Rather than a standard blued or parkerized finish, Mec-Gar applies an Anti-Friction coating to the exterior. That coating does two things simultaneously: it reduces the resistance encountered when loading rounds under spring tension, and it provides meaningful corrosion resistance for a component that sees regular handling and moisture exposure.

The follower and floorplate are both made from high-impact polymer. A polymer follower helps prevent tilt under spring pressure, which keeps rounds presenting to the feed ramp at a consistent angle. The spring itself is made from high-tensile music wire, chosen for its ability to maintain consistent tension over a high number of compression cycles without taking a permanent set.
