The tube is heat-treated carbon steel, giving it the rigidity to resist deformation under the pressures of rapid fire and rough handling. An anti-friction coating on the exterior reduces wear at the points where the magazine contacts the grip frame during insertion and removal, which matters most when you are running the pistol hard at the range or cycling through quick mag changes in a training context.

Inside, a high-tensile music wire spring maintains consistent pressure on the stack throughout the full 18-round capacity — from the first round chambered to the last — so feeding stays reliable rather than degrading as the spring extends. The high-visibility green, high-impact polymer follower is easy to spot when the magazine runs dry, giving you a clear read on slide-lock without having to think about it. The polymer floorplate is shrouded and extends below the grip, providing both a positive purchase for a rip-and-reload and protection for the basepad on drops.

One practical note worth understanding before you buy: this magazine fits the Glock 19 but is not compatible with the Glock 19X, and the extended length means standard Glock replacement floorplates will not seat correctly on it. On the release side, no modification is needed — it works with the factory magazine catch as-installed, so there is no additional hardware to source.
