The tube is formed from heat-treated carbon steel, which gives it the structural rigidity to withstand repeated insertion and the compressive forces of a loaded spring over time. The spring itself is wound from high-tensile music wire, chosen for its ability to maintain consistent feed force across the full round count without taking a permanent set under sustained compression. The follower is a high-impact polymer unit in high-visibility green, making it straightforward to confirm the chamber is clear during a press check or administrative handling.

The Anti-Friction coating applied to the tube reduces the resistance felt when seating the magazine under stress and when stripping it during a reload. It also allows rounds to travel up the feed lips with less drag, which contributes to consistent chambering. The enhanced grip floorplate extends the base of the magazine slightly, giving the shooting hand a more positive purchase during a speed reload compared to a flush-fit base.
