Description
The Gold Reserve Sport in .410 bore is built for shooters who want a properly appointed over/under for sporting clays, 5-Stand, or upland work without crossing into custom-gun territory on price. It is a break-action double in the traditional sense — two shots, mechanical simplicity, and a forcing you to be deliberate about each one — which suits both the clay shooter developing consistency and the upland hunter who rarely needs more than two shells in the field.
The receiver wears a polished silver finish with scroll engraving and inlay work, which on most guns at this price point is either absent or stamped rather than cut. The barrels are polished blued over a ventilated rib, which dissipates heat between stations and gives the eye a consistent sighting plane during a long round. The front bead sits at the muzzle end of that rib and is the only sight you need on a shotgun swung through a moving target — a bead encourages the shooter to focus on the bird rather than the gun.
The tang safety is positioned where the thumb naturally rests after gripping the stock, keeping the transition from safe to fire a single, unhurried motion. The stock is Grade-A satin black walnut with a fixed length of pull, which provides a more consistent cheek weld than adjustable alternatives that can shift under recoil. Five extended Sport choke tubes are included, covering the range from open cylinder work close in to tighter constrictions for longer crossing shots. The .410 bore rewards precise choke selection more than larger gauges do, so having the full Sport set in hand from the start is practically useful rather than cosmetic.
