Description
The Patriot Predator is built for hunters who need a short, packable bolt gun that can reach into tight blinds and dense timber without sacrificing terminal performance. Chambered in .400 Legend, it fits the straight-wall cartridge rules common to several Midwestern deer seasons and delivers a heavier, wider bullet than the .350 Legend while running at pressures compatible with the Patriot platform. The 20-inch barrel keeps overall length manageable for saddle scabbards and ground blinds, and the 1-in-16 twist rate is matched to the .400 Legend’s heavier projectiles, stabilizing them without the overstabilization that can open groups with lighter bullets.
The barrel is threaded and finished in Patriot Brown Cerakote, which provides corrosion resistance for wet-season hunting. The threading means the rifle accepts a suppressor without modification, a practical advantage for hearing protection in the field where earmuffs are often left behind. A Picatinny rail is machined directly to the receiver so you can mount virtually any optic without purchasing a separate base — the rifle ships without sights, so an optic is required. The LBA trigger is user-adjustable for pull weight, which lets the shooter dial it to a preference rather than accepting a fixed factory setting. The spiral-fluted bolt reduces weight slightly and gives a positive grip surface during the cycling stroke. The drop-box magazine holds four rounds with one in the chamber, and the detachable design allows for faster reloads in the field. The TrueTimber Strata stock is synthetic, so it handles moisture and field abuse without warping or checking.
