Description
The Gold Reserve II is a clay-oriented over/under built for shooters who want a reliable double gun without committing to a bespoke price tag. It is equally at home on a sporting clays course or walking upland cover, and the 30-inch barrels are the detail that ties those two uses together — longer tubes smooth out the swing arc and extend the sighting plane, both of which help a shooter track and lead moving birds more consistently than a shorter barrel allows.
The receiver is polished engraved stainless steel, and the stock is fixed black walnut with a satin finish. The tang safety placement keeps the thumb in a natural position at the grip and allows for a fast, unhesitating transition from carry to mount. A front bead sight keeps the focus on the target rather than the muzzle, which is the conventional and correct choice for a shotgun used on flying game or thrown clays.
The gun ships with a five-choke extended Sport set, which gives you enough constriction range to cover trap, skeet, sporting clays, and field work without buying anything additional. The 3-inch chamber handles both standard 2¾-inch loads and the heavier 3-inch shells if your target load or hunting situation calls for them. At 7.5 pounds, the gun carries enough mass to dampen recoil from heavier loads while still being manageable over a full day of shooting.
