The 1-in-7.5 twist rate is optimized for the heavier, longer bullets that make 25 Creedmoor worthwhile at distance — lighter or shorter projectiles will also stabilize, but the rifling is cut to get the most out of the cartridge’s upper end of bullet weights where the aerodynamic advantage is greatest.
