The Elevation MTR is Proof Research’s answer to a specific problem: building a rifle that can move with a hunter or competitor across uneven terrain without sacrificing the precision that long-range cartridges like the 300 PRC demand. This left-hand configuration is not an afterthought — the action is a Zermatt Arms Origin built from the ground up as a southpaw platform, not a mirrored derivative of a right-hand design, which means the bolt throw, ejection, and feeding geometry are all native to the orientation.

The carbon-fiber-wrapped match-grade barrel does more than reduce carry weight. Carbon fiber’s thermal mass characteristics help the barrel shed heat more evenly than steel alone, which matters when you are shooting a magnum cartridge that generates significant bore temperature across a string of shots. A 1-in-9 twist is optimized for the heavier, high-BC projectiles that make 300 PRC worthwhile at distance — lighter or shorter bullets will stabilize, but the cartridge’s real capability shows with longer slugs in the 200–230 grain range. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24, ready for a suppressor or a muzzle brake without additional gunsmithing.

The MDT chassis accepts a 5-round steel AICS-pattern magazine, giving the shooter a wide selection of compatible magazines from multiple makers.
