Description
Radian Weapons built the Ultralight QD End Plate for shooters who are trimming every gram from an AR-15 build without sacrificing the function of a quick-detach sling attachment. The plate is constructed from aluminum and titanium — a pairing that keeps mass low while maintaining the structural integrity needed to handle the repetitive stress a sling anchor point takes under field conditions. Titanium, in particular, resists corrosion and fatigue in ways that help the hardware hold up where steel would add unnecessary weight and aluminum alone might give over time.
The quick-detach socket accepts standard QD sling swivels and positions the attachment point at the rear of the lower receiver, right where the buffer tube meets the stock. That location keeps sling tension in line with the bore axis, which matters when you are managing rifle position during movement or transitioning between shooting positions. Because the end plate replaces the standard component in a mil-spec AR-15 buffer tube assembly, installation is straightforward — no gunsmithing or permanent modification required.
The Black finish is consistent with Radian’s other components, which makes it a natural match for builders working within that system. At this weight class and material combination, the end plate suits precision and competition builds where every accessory decision is weighed, as well as duty-oriented rifles where a reliable sling mount is part of a working setup rather than an afterthought.
