Description

The Reptilia ROF-90 is built for shooters who run a magnified optic as their primary and need a fast, reliable secondary red dot for close-range work. Rather than forcing a transition to a new shooting position or breaking cheek weld entirely, the ROF-90 mounts an Aimpoint Micro at 90 degrees relative to the bore axis, so a quarter-turn of the rifle brings the dot into view without removing the magnified optic from the system at all. The concept is straightforward, but the execution depends entirely on the mount holding zero through that rotation, which is where construction materials matter.

Reptilia machines the ROF-90 from billet 7075-T6 aluminum and finishes it in a MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodize. That specification of anodize is a hard, thick coating applied under military-specification conditions, which resists wear and corrosion more aggressively than standard commercial anodize. The 35mm tube diameter is matched to the Aimpoint Micro footprint that dominates this role. Mounting is designed as a drop-in solution for shooters already running either a Reptilia AUS Mount or a Geissele Super Precision 35mm magnified optic mount, meaning no adapter plates or fabrication work is required to integrate it into either of those existing setups.

At roughly four ounces, the added weight is minimal relative to what it replaces in terms of transitioning between separate optics or riser setups. This is a practical tool for competitive shooters, carbine instructors, or anyone whose work demands engagement at both distance and close quarters without reconfiguring the rifle between them.
