Description
The Riton Contessa 30mm Light Picatinny rings are built for shooters who want a secure, no-nonsense optic mount without adding unnecessary weight to the rifle. Machined from aluminum alloy and finished in matte black, they’re designed to disappear under a scope rather than draw attention to themselves.
The 12mm height sits low enough to maintain a natural cheek weld on most standard stocks, which matters more than it sounds — a mount that forces your head up even a few millimeters will cost you consistency across sessions. At the same time, the profile stays clear of most objective lenses in the mid-size range, so you’re not trading eye position for clearance.
Picatinny-compatible geometry means the rings index to the cross-slots of a MIL-STD-1913 rail rather than relying on friction alone. That mechanical registration is what keeps point of impact stable when the rifle is handled hard, transported, or re-mounted after cleaning. The fit also accommodates Weaver-pattern rails, giving you flexibility across different platforms without needing a separate mount.
A two-ring set covers the overwhelming majority of scope tube layouts, and the light construction reflects a deliberate design choice: less mass on the rail means less rotational inertia when the rifle is swung and less fatigue on an extended carry. If your application demands a heavier, more robust mount, that trade-off runs in the other direction — but for a field or hunting setup where the scope stays mounted and the rifle moves with you, the weight savings are genuinely useful.
