The bullet construction drives that choice: a lead core enclosed in a CuZn 10 brass jacket that is drawn and formed to precise tolerances, producing a jacket that controls how the bullet opens rather than simply containing it. On impact, the soft point initiates expansion reliably without fragmenting prematurely, while the jacket holds enough of the core together to sustain penetration through the vitals of deer-sized game.
