Seekins Precision builds these 30mm rings for shooters who want a mount that disappears from their setup — one that holds zero through hard use without becoming a variable in the system. The foundation is 7075-T6 aluminum billet, the same alloy used in aerospace structural components, chosen because it offers the stiffness-to-weight ratio necessary to keep a scope from walking under recoil without adding unnecessary mass to the rifle.

The rings are built to the 1913 Picatinny specification, which means they index against the rail’s cross-slots rather than relying solely on clamp friction. The critical detail here is how that indexing is achieved: Seekins machines the center lug directly into the ring body rather than using a separate cross-bolt. A cross-bolt lug is an additional part with its own tolerances and its own potential to strip or loosen; a monolithic machined lug eliminates those failure points entirely.

The .92-inch medium-high ring height sits between standard medium and high, giving clearance for scopes with larger objective bells while keeping the bore axis closer to the optic centerline than a full high mount would. A lower cheekweld angle generally means a more consistent head position and less strain during extended shooting sessions. The four-screw cap design distributes clamping load evenly around the scope tube, reducing the risk of point-contact deformation that single or two-screw designs can produce when torqued to spec. Fasteners are Grade 8 T-25 Torx, which resist cam-out better than hex drives at the same torque values. Pairs are serialized, so left and right halves that were matched and finished together stay together. The Type III hardcoat anodized finish is the same specification used for military hardware.
