Description
The Havak Pro Hunter 3 is built around a single purpose: putting a capable, precise bolt gun in the hands of a hunter who moves through the backcountry and needs the rifle to earn its weight on every mile. The Mountain Shadow stock finish is Seekins’ own pattern designed for broken terrain, keeping the rifle low-profile in the field rather than in the safe.
Chambered in .300 PRC, this rifle favors longer, heavier high-BC bullets — the cartridge was designed from the start around them, with a longer throat than older .30-caliber magnums. The 1:10″ twist rate supports that ammunition selection well, stabilizing the heavy projectiles that make .300 PRC most useful at distance without overdriving lighter loads. The 26″ barrel gives the powder charge the dwell time it needs to develop full velocity in a cartridge that responds meaningfully to barrel length.
The quick-change barrel system pairs with a 3-lug bolt and 60-degree throw, which shortens the bolt’s travel arc and keeps scope clearance manageable without requiring the operator to break a cheek weld as dramatically as a conventional 90-degree action demands. Toolless bolt disassembly makes field cleaning straightforward. The integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail provides forward cant so that long-range scopes with moderate internal adjustment range can still achieve a useful zero at extended distances. The full-length M-LOK rail on the forend allows bipod or accessory attachment without additional hardware. The adjustable cheek piece lets the shooter dial in a repeatable, consistent eye position behind whatever optic is mounted — an often-overlooked factor in cold-weather shooting when a precise head position is harder to maintain.
