The HAVAK PH3 is Seekins Precision’s answer to a specific problem: building a bolt-action rifle light enough to carry all day in steep country without sacrificing the mechanical precision that makes long shots on game viable. It is aimed at hunters who cover serious ground on foot and need a rifle that earns its place in the pack, not just at the bench.

The action runs a 3-lug bolt with a 60-degree throw, which keeps the bolt handle out of the way of a low-mounted scope and shortens the cycling stroke compared to a traditional two-lug design — useful when you are working the action quickly after a first shot at distance. The bolt strips down without tools, which matters when you are pulling carbon fouling from the locking surfaces in a spike camp with no workbench. The quick-change barrel system means the same action can be reconfigured for a different cartridge without returning the rifle to a gunsmith.

The 1-in-8-inch twist rate is fast enough to stabilize the long, high-BC projectiles that make 7mm Remington Magnum viable past 500 yards, while still handling conventional hunting bullets in the 150- to 175-grain range. The barrel is both fluted and threaded, reducing rotating mass and providing the option to mount a suppressor. An integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail tilts the scope forward, giving back the elevation adjustment the optic would otherwise burn through at extended range. The adjustable cheek riser lets you dial the stock fit to whatever scope height your mount requires rather than shimming behind the reticle. The carbon fiber magazine keeps weight at the feed end to a minimum. The Mountain Shadow stock pattern is Seekins’ own finish designed for blending into mixed-terrain backcountry environments.
