Description

The Shield Arms PMAG Gen M3 +5 Extension gives shooters a straightforward way to increase capacity without swapping to a different magazine platform. It attaches directly to the base of a Magpul PMAG Gen M3, adding five rounds to whatever the magazine already holds — useful for competition stages, range sessions, or any application where round count matters without the bulk of a higher-capacity magazine.

The extension is machined from aluminum and finished in a black anodized coating, which keeps weight down compared to a steel baseplate while offering reasonable durability against handling wear. The anodized finish is not simply painted on — anodizing is an electrochemical conversion of the surface material itself, which means it bonds to the aluminum rather than sitting on top of it and is correspondingly more resistant to chips and scratches that would otherwise expose bare metal.

Fit is specific to the Gen M3 PMAG family. If your magazines are an earlier generation, this extension will not seat correctly, so confirm your magazine generation before ordering. The extension installs at the base of the magazine and does not require modification to the magazine body or the rifle’s lower receiver. No tools are needed beyond what the installation design calls for.
