Description

The Shield Arms Premium Magazine Catch is a direct replacement for the factory polymer release in Glock 43X and 48 pistols, built specifically for use with Shield Arms’ S15 steel magazines. Those high-capacity steel magazines are heavier than standard factory magazines, and the added weight can cause a polymer catch to deform or fail to hold the magazine securely under recoil — a steel catch solves that problem at the root.

This version is optimized for right-hand use rather than made ambidextrous, and that design choice has a practical payoff: Shield Arms was able to remove the hard angles from the underside of the catch body that an ambidextrous geometry would require. The result is a smoother surface that doesn’t snag the magazine during insertion, which matters most under stress or during rapid reloads.
