The M17 FMJ is engineered to replicate the ballistics of SIG’s M17 V-Crown defensive hollow point, so the transition from a range session to carry duty doesn’t require any mental recalibration of point-of-impact or felt recoil. Running at +P pressure, this load delivers more velocity than standard 9mm Luger offerings from the same barrel length. That elevated pressure means it should only be used in handguns rated for +P ammunition — check your owner’s manual if there’s any question.
