The AX3 trigger system uses a flat-faced shoe, which shifts the contact point on the finger and can improve leverage consistency across different hand sizes and grip pressures. That kind of predictability matters more in a timed stage than raw trigger weight does. The expansion chamber built into the slide is designed to reduce felt recoil by giving propellant gas somewhere to go before the slide fully cycles, which keeps the muzzle more stable between shots.
