Description
Sig Sauer’s Buckmasters ring set is built for hunters who want a straightforward, reliable way to mount a 1-inch scope tube without overcomplicating the setup. These are working rings — designed to get a hunting optic seated securely and stay there through the field season, not a bench-rest curiosity or a competition accessory.
The rings are machined from a proprietary aluminum alloy that balances structural rigidity with controlled ductility. That combination matters during installation: a ring that deforms slightly and evenly as the cap screws are torqued down distributes clamping force around the scope tube more uniformly than a fully rigid material would, reducing the risk of distorting the tube while still holding zero under recoil. The matte black anodized finish keeps the profile low in the field and resists corrosion without adding meaningful weight.
Mounting is via Picatinny interface, which means these rings will drop onto any standard Picatinny or MIL-STD-1913 rail — a common feature on modern hunting rifles and bolt-action platforms. The medium ring height provides enough clearance for objective lenses typically found on mid-range hunting scopes while keeping the optical axis low enough to maintain a natural cheek weld on most hunting-style stocks. If you run a larger objective, measure carefully before ordering — the medium height is not a one-size solution for every scope body diameter. Sold as a matched pair.
