Description
The P320 X-Five Legion is built for competitive shooters who want a factory pistol capable of stepping into USPSA Production Division or similar practical shooting formats without a trip to a gunsmith. The foundation is Sig Sauer’s modular P320 platform, but the X-Five Legion departs significantly from the standard configuration in ways that matter at the range.
The grip module is where the most consequential engineering happens. Rather than standard polymer, Sig uses a tungsten-infused grip module — a material that adds meaningful mass low in the frame. That extra weight shifts the gun’s balance point downward, which dampens muzzle rise during rapid strings of fire more effectively than a lighter frame could. The result is a heavier pistol by design, and that trade-off is intentional: slower to draw but faster to track between targets.
The five-inch bull barrel gives the striker-fired action a longer sight radius than a carry-length pistol, which translates directly to a tighter practical accuracy ceiling. Up front, a fiber optic front sight pulls in ambient light for fast target acquisition, while a fully adjustable rear sight lets shooters dial elevation and windage to match their chosen load — a necessary feature when the gun is being used competitively rather than just defensively.
The trigger has been skeletonized and tuned at the factory for a lighter pull, reducing the input required between shots without requiring aftermarket modification. The recoil assembly uses a solid steel guide rod paired with a 14-pound 1911-pattern spring, with a 12-pound spring included as an alternative. The package ships with three 17-round steel magazines and a removable magwell to speed reloads. A manual thumb safety is included, and the slide is cut for optics mounting if the iron sights are eventually supplemented.
