The Gold Dot hollow point cavity is formed after bonding, which means the geometry that initiates expansion is precisely controlled and not subject to deformation during feeding. Primers are sealed against moisture and the brass is nickel-plated, which resists corrosion and makes extraction more reliable in carry pistols that may see high round counts or extended storage before use.
