The Strike Industries MOD1 is a collapsible buttstock built as a direct drop-in replacement for AR-15 and M16 carbines running a mil-spec receiver extension tube. The installation process requires no gunsmithing — the stock slides onto an existing mil-spec buffer tube and locks into place, making it a straightforward swap for anyone already comfortable handling their own rifle. It is designed to work with or without a rubber buttpad, which is sold separately; the buttpad changes the feel at the shoulder and affects length of pull, so shooters who run the stock without body armor may want to factor that into the decision.
