Description

The SureFire EDC1-DFT in Mil-Spec Hard Anodized gray is built for one purpose: pushing usable light as far downrange as possible in a package small enough for daily carry. Where a flood-pattern light is useful for close work and navigation, the EDC1-DFT’s precision-machined parabolic reflector concentrates output into a tight, high-candela beam that lets you positively identify a target or threat well before you could with a conventional EDC light. That distinction matters when distance buys you time.

The Dual Fuel design gives you meaningful flexibility rather than a marketing footnote. Running the included SF18350 rechargeable lithium-ion cell unlocks the full 650-lumen output, while dropping in a widely available 123A primary battery keeps the light functional at 350 lumens when you need a field-expedient solution. The trade-off is real: the 123A also reduces beam intensity and cuts the beam distance considerably, so the rechargeable cell is the right choice whenever you can plan ahead.

A low-output mode at 25 lumens rounds out the interface for close-quarters administrative tasks and significantly extends runtime, which matters for a light you intend to carry every day. The click switch keeps operation simple and deliberate. Construction is aerospace aluminum with a Mil-Spec hard-anodized finish, O-ring sealed to IPX7 standard, meaning it can take a full submersion without failing. The knurled body and tailcap give the light positive grip in wet conditions, and the two-way clip accommodates bezel-up or bezel-down carry to suit your preference.
