Description

The Timney HK MP5 Two-Stage Trigger is built for shooters who want a meaningful improvement in break quality over the factory trigger group on HK MP5 semi-automatic variants and their clones, including HK 91, 93, and 94 platforms. It is a drop-in replacement for SEF and semi-auto trigger packs with corresponding safety selectors — it does not fit Ambi, Navy, or FBI trigger packs, which use fundamentally different internal geometry, nor does it fit .22 clones. The existing ejector lever, ejector spring, and ejector axis pin from your host firearm are retained.

The two-stage design separates the pull into a defined first stage and a crisp second stage, which gives the shooter a clear mechanical reference point before the break. That predictability is the practical argument for a two-stage over a single-stage on a precision-oriented platform: you can take up the first stage during a firing solution and then press through the wall when ready, rather than managing a single continuous press under time or position pressure. Both stages are factory-set and not adjustable.

The trigger housing is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized black, which keeps weight down while providing corrosion resistance. The hammer is S7 tool steel, heat treated and NP3 coated to reduce friction at the contact surfaces where it matters most during the firing cycle. The trigger shoe and disconnector are machined from billet A2 tool steel, heat treated, and carbo-nitride coated for a consistent, smooth feel through the pull. Timney backs the trigger with a lifetime warranty and manufactures it in the United States.
