Description
The TriggerTech Special is a single-stage replacement trigger built for Remington 700 bolt-action rifles, aimed at precision shooters who want a meaningfully better pull without moving to the Diamond tier. Where the factory trigger relies on friction between metal surfaces to control sear engagement, TriggerTech’s Frictionless Release Technology routes that engagement through a rolling element instead. Removing sliding friction from the equation produces a pull that breaks more cleanly and repeats more consistently from shot to shot, which matters most when you are chasing tight groups at distance.
Pull weight is adjustable between 1.0 and 3.5 pounds via an external adjustment screw, so you can set it light enough for precision work on a bench or dial it up slightly for a hunting rifle that sees rough handling. Overtravel is held under 0.015 inches, which means the trigger stops almost immediately after the shot breaks rather than continuing rearward — a detail that helps you stay on target and diagnose your pull. The flat shoe on this variant suits shooters who prefer to index higher on the blade, placing the finger pad squarely on a consistent spot with each press. The trigger body is machined from 440C stainless steel, while the housing is anodized 7075 aluminum. A bolt release is included. This is a right-hand configuration in a stainless finish.
