Description
Wilson Combat designed this full-size 1911 magazine for shooters who want extended capacity without sacrificing the feeding reliability that makes the platform worth trusting. The 10-round configuration adds rounds over a standard-capacity 1911 magazine while remaining compatible with most full-size Government and Commander-pattern pistols chambered in .45 ACP.
The tube is drawn from aircraft-grade certified stainless steel and heat-treated after forming, which maintains dimensional consistency under the stress of repeated loading cycles and resists corrosion over long service life. Wall thickness runs .025 inches — substantial enough to resist deformation if the magazine is dropped during a reload. The fiber-filled nylon follower is self-lubricating, which keeps cartridge alignment consistent as the spring compresses without requiring additional lubrication to prevent drag. The heavy-duty spring is rated for reliable positive slide-stop activation, meaning the slide locks back on the last round rather than riding forward and leaving the shooter guessing.
The wrap-around polymer base pad adds purchase during a stripped reload and absorbs impact if the magazine is dropped free onto a hard surface. Wilson Combat’s black fluoropolymer finish on the tube reduces friction as the magazine moves against the magazine well during insertion and removal, and adds a layer of corrosion protection beyond what bare stainless offers. The base pad is removable for cleaning and spring inspection. Wilson Combat manufactures this magazine in the United States.
