The 14.5-inch cold hammer forged barrel wears a lightweight profile, which reduces forward weight and shifts the balance point rearward, making the rifle easier to hold on target during extended strings. Chrome lining on both the bore and bolt carrier group extends service life under sustained use and simplifies cleaning in the field. A 1-in-7 twist rate stabilizes heavier projectiles effectively — it handles 62-grain M855 and heavier 77-grain match loads without issue, though it will also run lighter 55-grain ammunition reliably.

The mid-length gas system draws gas from a point farther down the barrel than a carbine-length setup, which spreads the pressure curve over a longer dwell time. The practical result is a softer, more gradual push at the bolt — less sharp recoil impulse, which helps with split times and follow-up shots. The low-profile gas block keeps the handguard rail surface clear for a lower and more ergonomic grip position.

The DD4 flat-front handguard is M-LOK compatible and machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, giving you a slim mounting surface for lights, pressure pads, or slings without adding unnecessary circumference. The fully ambidextrous lower — with ambi safety, mag release, and bolt release — makes the rifle genuinely operable from either side without any part swaps. The pinned and welded Dead Air Xeno flash hider is HUB-compatible, meaning it accepts Dead Air suppressors without an adapter. No iron sights are included, so budget for an optic or backup sights from the start. One 32-round magazine ships with the rifle.
