Description
The Colt Enhanced Patrol Rifle II Pro is built around the same government-profile, chrome-lined barrel and direct-impingement gas system that established the LE6920 as a duty rifle, then adds a more capable furniture and handguard package for shooters who want a ready platform rather than a stripped starting point. It suits patrol officers, competitive shooters running carbine courses, and civilians who want a rifle with a verifiable service lineage and minimal deviation from the proven M4 pattern.
The 1-in-7 twist rate is the detail that drives ammunition selection on this rifle. That faster twist stabilizes heavier projectiles reliably—62-grain M855 and heavier 75- to 77-grain match bullets stay stable where a slower 1-in-9 barrel can begin to struggle. Shooters running lighter 55-grain loads at high velocity will still function fine; the trade-off is that slower-twist barrels can sometimes produce marginally tighter groups with very light projectiles, but the 1-in-7 buys you flexibility across the full weight range of .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO ammunition.
The M-LOK handguard opens direct attachment of lights, grips, and sling mounts without the weight or snag risk of a full Picatinny rail, while a top rail section remains available for optics. Magpul MBUS backup sights are included, which means the rifle arrives with a functional sighting solution that folds flat when a magnified or red-dot optic is mounted and deploys quickly if that optic is removed. The adjustable stock accommodates different body geometries and shooting positions without additional cost. One 30-round magazine is included.
