Description

The Shield Arms +5/+4 Magazine Extension is a straightforward capacity upgrade for shooters running factory full-capacity Glock 17 or Glock 22 magazines. It replaces the OEM base plate and adds five rounds to a Glock 17 magazine or four rounds to a Glock 22 magazine, giving you meaningfully more ammunition without a change of platform or additional hardware.

The extension is machined from billet 6061 aluminum and finished with a Type 2 anodize in Grey — a hard, wear-resistant surface that holds up to regular range use and carry without peeling or fading. Because the material is aluminum rather than polymer, the body maintains dimensional consistency under the kind of grip pressure that can deform softer base pads over time.

The floor plate is designed for easy access, meaning you can field-strip and service the magazine — cleaning the spring and follower, inspecting for debris — without first pulling the extension off the magazine body. That matters if you run these magazines hard and clean them often. Index cuts along the extension body give your fingers something to catch when stripping a magazine from a pouch under pressure, reducing the chance of fumbling a reload.

A +10% over-power spring ships with the extension. The added spring tension compensates for the longer stack of cartridges sitting in an extended magazine, helping maintain reliable feeding through the full capacity. This extension fits OEM Glock factory magazines only and is not compatible with 10-round state-compliant versions.
