Description
The Walker’s Razor Slim Electronic Muff in Kryptek camo is built for shooters who spend long sessions at the range or in the field and need hearing protection that doesn’t get in the way. Its slim, folding design keeps a low profile under a rifle stock’s cheek weld — a practical trade-off that standard-depth muffs can’t match — and the metal wire frame inside the headband holds its shape under repeated use without adding bulk.
Two omni-directional microphones feed ambient sound through full dynamic range HD speakers, which means you can carry on a conversation or pick up directional cues between shots rather than working deaf. The sound activated compression circuit engages in 0.002 seconds, so the electronics cut harmful impulse noise before it reaches your ears while still passing normal environmental sound cleanly. Independent volume controls on each cup let you adjust each side separately, useful when one ear is more exposed to muzzle blast than the other. The recessed knob design prevents accidental adjustment when you’re moving or shouldering a pack.
The Noise Reduction Rating of 23 dB is appropriate for centerfire pistol and rifle use at outdoor ranges. An auxiliary audio input jack allows you to pipe in communication audio from a radio or phone without removing the muffs. Power comes from two AAA batteries, which are included. The Kryptek finish is not a wrap or paint — it’s a printed pattern on the composite cup housing, keeping the exterior low-maintenance in wet or abrasive conditions.
