Description
The Colt Cobra is a compact double-action revolver built around everyday carry and close-range defensive work. It suits shooters who want a steel-framed wheelgun they can trust without the weight penalty of a full-size service revolver.
This is a TALO exclusive variant, and the distinction matters at the grip. Where the standard Cobra ships with rubber panels, this model wears Snake Scale walnut grips — a pattern that gives the hand more purchase than a smooth wood surface while keeping the profile slim enough for a coat pocket or a strong-side holster. The brass bead front sight sits against that walnut in a way that reads quickly in daylight without requiring a painted or fiber-optic insert.
The Cobra’s double-action trigger mechanism means every pull cocks and rotates the cylinder simultaneously, so there is no manual cocking step between shots. The action also functions single-action if the hammer is manually cocked for a lighter, shorter pull on a deliberate shot. Brushed Stainless Steel finish on the frame and cylinder resists surface oxidation without demanding the careful wiping that blued steel requires — a practical consideration for a carry gun that will see humidity, perspiration, and irregular maintenance schedules.
The two-inch barrel trades ballistic velocity for concealability, a deliberate compromise in a revolver of this class. Chambered in .38 Special and rated for +P ammunition, it can be run with standard defensive loads or higher-pressure +P rounds without mechanical concern, giving the shooter flexibility in ammunition selection based on recoil tolerance and terminal performance requirements.
