The LUMI H35R is built for hunters who want a thermal monocular they can actually carry all night — small enough for a coat pocket, capable enough to do real work once it comes out. The 640×512 sensor resolution means the unit is resolving substantially more thermal detail per frame than the 384×288 sensors found in Nocpix’s L-series LUMI models, which matters most when you’re trying to distinguish an animal’s posture or determine whether something at the edge of your scan is worth closing distance on.

The 2.5x native optical magnification gives the H35R a wider starting field of view than the 4x L-series models. That trade-off is deliberate: a wider view makes it faster to scan unfamiliar ground and pick up movement, while a narrower starting view makes more sense when you already know where to look and need to identify at distance. The integrated laser rangefinder extends to 875 yards at ±1-yard accuracy, which is enough precision to inform a shot decision rather than just a rough estimate. Importantly, Nocpix added the rangefinder without changing the body dimensions of the original LUMI, so the IRB-2 (18650-style) battery and MOLLE-compatible pouch carry system remain unchanged.

The 1024×768 AMOLED display gives the image more perceived sharpness than the thermal sensor resolution alone would suggest, and the R+ image processing is applied specifically during digital zoom to reduce the degradation that typically appears when magnification is pushed past the optical base. The rubberized housing is weatherproof and designed not to conduct cold in the way bare metal would — a detail that matters during extended glove-off use in winter conditions.
