Description

This is a purpose-built barreled action for the precision rifle builder who wants a foundation ready to drop into a Remington 700-footprint chassis without sourcing and fitting a barrel separately. It is aimed at hunters and long-range shooters who want a lightweight, assembled package that can be stocked to their preference rather than buying a complete rifle and working backward.

The CURE barrel is a stainless steel core with a carbon fiber wrap — a construction that sheds weight without sacrificing the rigidity a stainless tube provides. That matters most on mountain hunts where pack weight compounds over miles, and where a heavy barrel profile would simply price itself out of the load. The #6 contour is a meaningful middle ground: it carries enough mass to stabilize heat across a string of shots, while the carbon wrap keeps the overall weight in check at 4.25 lbs for the complete assembly. Carbon fiber also dissipates surface heat faster than bare steel, which helps maintain point of impact consistency during extended field use.

The 1:7.5-inch twist rate is optimized for the heavier, high-BC projectiles that make 25 Creedmoor effective at distance — lighter bullets can still be run, but the cartridge’s strengths are in the 130- to 135-grain range where this twist stabilizes well. Threads are cut 5/8×24 TPI, which is the standard pitch for this bore diameter and keeps suppressor and muzzle device options broad. The bolt assembly uses a floating bolt head design, which self-centers against the barrel face and helps maintain consistent headspace across a wide range of brass dimensions. Scope base holes are drilled and tapped to the Remington 700 eight-screw pattern, so base selection is uncomplicated. The magazine interface runs AICS-pattern detachable boxes, giving wide aftermarket support.
