Description
The Elevation 2.0 is Proof Research’s precision bolt-action platform aimed at long-range shooters who want a purpose-built rifle rather than a modified hunting gun. It is built around the Zermatt Arms Origin action, which provides the bedding geometry and tolerances that repeatable precision shooting demands. The trigger interface and stock fitment are designed around that action, so the system behaves as an integrated unit rather than an assembly of sourced parts.
The barrel is a carbon-fiber-wrapped match-grade tube. Carbon fiber wrapping reduces mass along the length of the barrel without shortening it, which keeps muzzle velocity and harmonic stiffness while allowing a balance point that makes the rifle comfortable to carry and to shoot unsupported. The 20-inch length is a deliberate compromise for the 22 Creedmoor cartridge: long enough to develop meaningful velocity from a relatively efficient case, short enough to remain practical in field positions.
The 1-in-8 twist rate is chosen to stabilize the heavier, high-BC projectiles that make 22 Creedmoor worth shooting at distance. Shooters running lighter varmint bullets should verify stability at their intended velocities, since fast twist can occasionally over-stabilize very light loads, though this is rarely a functional problem at the ranges this cartridge is designed for.
The barrel is threaded 5/8×24, the standard pitch for .22-caliber centerfire suppressors and muzzle devices in that bore class. The Midnight Camo stock finish blends with low-light field environments and is Proof Research’s own pattern rather than a generic dip. A sub-MOA guarantee comes with the rifle, meaning Proof Research stands behind the barrel and action combination as a system, not just the components individually.
