The Aero Precision BREACH is a charging handle built for shooters who demand reliable ambidextrous operation from their AR10 or M5 platform rifle. Whether you run it left- or right-handed, the design holds up equally well — and the engineering behind that capability is worth understanding.

Traditional charging handles concentrate lateral stress on a single latch and roll pin when a shooter pulls from one side only. The BREACH addresses this with a patent-pending dual-spring lever mechanism that redirects that force back into the main body of the handle rather than into the latch hardware. The result is a handle that withstands one-sided charging technique without fatiguing the retention pins over time — something conventional mil-spec handles were never designed to handle gracefully.

The main bar is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with reduced chamfer angles, which increases cross-sectional strength and stiffens the bar against the rotational flex that can develop under hard use. The levers are also 7075-T6 aluminum, keeping weight modest while maintaining the structural margin needed for a larger operating surface. The large lever configuration on this variant extends the gripping area, which is useful for shooters with larger hands or those running gloves. Machined cuts in the body channel carbon and debris away from the lever mechanism rather than letting fouling accumulate where it can impede function.

If you run a suppressor on your AR10, the gas deflection shelf built into the BREACH redirects excess gas away from your face — a meaningful detail when back-pressure increases noticeably over a standard muzzle. The body carries a Type III hardcoat anodized black finish; the levers are finished in OD Green anodizing. Note that this handle is not compatible with the Sig Sauer 716, Savage MSR10, or Smith and Wesson M&P10, which use proprietary upper receiver designs.
