Description

The American Defense Manufacturing AD-509T is a quick-detach picatinny mount purpose-built for the Holosun 509T optic, intended for rifle and PCC shooters who need a dedicated, repeatable mounting solution without the limitations of a permanent setup. It is offered here in the low-height configuration, which positions the centerline of the optic at 1.2 inches above the rail — a geometry suited to shooters who want a lower, more natural head position rather than the taller sight-over-bore of a co-witness arrangement.

The central mechanism is ADM’s patented QD Auto Lock lever. Rather than a simple clamp, the system is engineered for maximum surface contact along the picatinny rail, which is what gives the mount its repeatable return-to-zero performance when dismounted and reinstalled. The lever can be configured to lock toward the front or rear of the rail, accommodating different hand positions and platform layouts, and adjustment requires nothing beyond a finger or a flat-blade screwdriver — no proprietary tooling.

Construction is CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum with a Hard Coat Type III mil-spec anodized finish. The Type III anodizing produces a harder, thicker oxide layer than standard Type II, which contributes to wear resistance under repeated lever cycling and field handling. The mount is designed to fit both in-spec and out-of-spec picatinny rails, a practical consideration given how widely rail geometry can vary across different manufacturers’ receivers. This variant uses the Standard Legacy Lever and is compatible with the standard Holosun 509T footprint only — not the ACSS Vulcan variant, which uses a different footprint geometry. Made in the USA.
