Description
The EOTech EXPS2 and EXPS3 are purpose-built holographic sights, but the OEM mount they ship with creates a problem for shooters running a modern cheek weld: the factory centerline height of 1.725 inches sits below both common mounting standards, which means getting to 1.93 inches or 2.26 inches requires stacking a riser on top of an already bulky base. Arisaka’s Mk2 Mount eliminates that compromise by replacing the OEM mount entirely rather than adding hardware underneath it.
The 2.26-inch optic centerline height this mount provides suits shooters using a rifle configured for a tall cheek weld or those wearing night-vision equipment who need the sight line elevated to work with head-mounted gear. Removing the riser layer also means less hardware to work loose, a lower combined weight, and a cleaner overall profile on the rail. The mount is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum, an alloy chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio in structural applications, and finished in Cerakote Flat Dark Earth.
Compatibility is specific and worth reading carefully: this mount fits the EXPS3 and EXPS2 across all reticle variants, but it will not accept the EXPS3-HD, XPS3, XPS2, 518, 558, 552, or 512. If you are running one of those models, this is the wrong mount regardless of footprint similarities. For the correct EXPS variants, the Mk2 drops in as a direct replacement with no modification required.
