Description

The Arisaka Offset Optic Mount Base is built for shooters running a magnified primary optic who want a capable backup or transition red dot without giving up rail space or cheek weld consistency. The core problem it solves is geometry: most offset mounts place the red dot off-axis relative to the bore, introducing cant error when you transition. Arisaka’s design keeps the optic centered over bore regardless of which angle you choose, so the zero you set is the zero you get when the rifle tips.

The mount offers two offset positions — 35 degrees and 45 degrees — selected by reversing the stem between the base and optic plate during assembly, with no additional hardware required. The 35-degree position suits thinner scope bodies and brings the red dot closer to the primary optic’s eyebox height; the 45-degree position opens clearance around larger turret housings. Both positions maintain the same bore-centered alignment and a lower-third co-witness height, so transitioning between optics does not force a head position change.

The base itself is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in hardcoat anodize. It attaches directly to a Picatinny rail and occupies three slots, keeping it compact enough to tuck under most scope bodies. The mount and optic plates are fully reversible for left-side use. Optic plates are sold separately and cover a wide range of popular red dot footprints — the modular plate system is what makes this base useful across multiple builds rather than being tied to a single sight model. At 1.9 oz for the base alone, it adds minimal weight to the host rifle.
