The Arisaka Defense Finger Stop is built for shooters who want a reference point for their support hand without the bulk of a full hand stop. Where a conventional hand stop typically sits at the rear of the support hand, this accessory is designed to slot between the index and middle fingers, which shifts it further forward on the handguard. That forward placement matters: when you transition from standing to kneeling or prone, the support hand tends to migrate rearward, and a stop that far forward simply stays out of the way rather than binding against your grip or forcing you to adjust.

The rounded ergonomic profile is purpose-designed for that between-finger position, rather than being a flat or squared stop adapted to it. At 0.85 inches tall and 0.50 inches wide, it maintains a low profile that avoids snagging during movement or while clearing cover. The 0.4-ounce weight means it adds almost nothing to the balance of the rifle or the handguard. On shorter handguards, it doubles as a forward limit that keeps fingers away from a hot barrel or suppressor during sustained fire — a practical safety function rather than a marketing claim. It also provides a consistent contact point when using a barricade rest, giving repeatable support-hand placement shot to shot.
