Description

The Arisaka Defense Hand Stop is built for shooters who want a positive reference point on their handguard without adding bulk or changing the rifle’s handling character. The concept is straightforward: a fixed stop against which the support hand can pull rearward, driving the stock into the shoulder and tightening the overall firing platform. That sustained rearward tension is one of the more reliable ways to manage muzzle rise on rapid strings, and a dedicated stop makes it repeatable across positions rather than something you have to consciously re-establish each shot.

The same geometry that makes it useful as a pull point also works as a barricade stop when you need to brace against a hard surface. Reversed and moved to the forward end of the handguard, it becomes a hand stop in the conventional sense, preventing the support hand from sliding past the muzzle end. The profile was kept deliberately narrow so it doesn’t index awkwardly against the palm in a standard grip.

Arisaka machines the body from 6061-T651 aluminum and finishes it with a MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize, the same specification used for military components, which provides meaningful abrasion resistance without adding measurable weight. At 0.8 oz the stop doesn’t shift the balance of even a lightweight build. Installation requires an IP20 TorxPlus driver, which is not included — worth sourcing before the part arrives.
