Description
The Sig Sauer Tread Vertical Grip with Barricade Stop is a factory accessory designed for shooters running an M400 Tread who want a more deliberate forward-hand position and a built-in reference point for shooting around cover. It is also compatible with the MCX and MCX-SPEAR LT platforms, making it a useful option across several M-LOK-equipped Sig rifles.
The vertical grip offers two angle positions, which lets you dial in a wrist angle that works with your build and shooting stance rather than committing to a single fixed geometry. This is worth considering if you switch between shooting positions frequently — a grip angle that feels natural prone may put your wrist in an awkward line when you come to a barricade or barrier.
The barricade stop is the more tactical piece of the kit. It gives you a hard contact point to register against a vertical surface, so your support hand stays in the same position relative to the muzzle every time you shoot from cover. Without a dedicated stop, that reference point shifts shot to shot depending on how you happen to press the handguard against the surface.
Construction is high-strength polymer, and the kit ships with M-LOK connectors and all mounting hardware, so nothing extra is needed to mount it. The black finish matches Sig’s standard furniture. Installation follows standard M-LOK procedures and should be done in accordance with Sig’s torque specifications to avoid crushing the rail slot or allowing movement under recoil.
