ARISAKA OFFSET OPTIC PLT 8 RMR TALL

Description

The Arisaka Defense Offset Optic Plate #8 is designed for shooters who run a primary magnified optic and want a red dot offset to the side for close-range transitions without breaking their firing position. The plate attaches to the Arisaka Offset Optic Mount Base — sold separately — and positions a compact red dot at either a 35-degree or 45-degree angle depending on how the base and plate are assembled. Because both components can be reversed, the mount works equally well on either side of the rifle, so left- and right-handed shooters have the same options.

The tall height designation is meaningful in practice: it determines how level your cheek weld stays as you shift between the primary scope and the offset dot. This plate is sized to pair with primary optics mounted at 1.9 to 2.2 inches, so the offset dot sits at a comparable height and you are not forced to dramatically reposition your head during a transition. Choosing the wrong height plate — using the standard plate with a tall scope mount, for example — creates an inconsistent cheek weld that slows the transition down and defeats the purpose of the offset setup.

The plate is CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and finished in MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize, which is a harder, thicker anodize layer than standard Type II and offers better resistance to abrasion. The footprint accepts Trijicon RMR and SRO, Holosun 407C, 507C, and 508T, and Swampfox Kingslayer, Liberty, and Justice optics. This is the plate only; a functional offset mount requires the Arisaka Offset Optic Mount Base as well.
