Description

The Arisaka Defense Red Dot Mount Mk2 is built for shooters who run an Aimpoint Acro P1 or P2 and want a mount that handles the mechanical side of integration without compromise. It also accepts other red dots sharing the Acro footprint, including the Steiner MPS, so it serves a wider range of builds than the name alone suggests.

The 2.26-inch height is the critical choice here. At that elevation, your AR-height iron sights remain visible through the window beneath the optic, giving you a functional backup aiming option without removing or adjusting anything. That same height puts the optic in alignment with the Unity FAST FTC Magnifier Mount, which matters if you’re pairing a magnifier behind the dot — mismatched heights between a red dot and a magnifier create an eye-alignment problem that no amount of adjustment will fully resolve, so getting the mounting height right from the start is the cleaner solution.

The mount is CNC machined, finished in Flat Dark Earth anodize, and attaches to a standard Picatinny rail. Arisaka offers this same mount in shorter heights for lower co-witness and mid-height configurations, so the 2.26-inch version is a deliberate selection for specific setups rather than a universal default. If your build centers on a magnifier pairing or requires a full-height iron sight picture, this is the variant that addresses those requirements directly.
