Description
The B5 Systems SOPMOD stock is a direct descendant of the design developed at the Naval Surface Warfare Center and adopted by U.S. special operations forces — a lineage that shaped every functional decision in its construction. It fits mil-spec receiver extensions, so it drops onto any standard AR-15 lower without modification or adapter work.
The cheek weld geometry is deliberately sculpted rather than flat, giving the shooter consistent head placement shot to shot, which matters more for practical accuracy than most trigger or optic changes. The suregrip stock latch lets you move between length-of-pull positions quickly and holds without creep once set, so the stock stays where you put it under recoil. The anti-rotation QD sling mounts are overmolded steel one-piece units — they can’t loosen or spin under load, which eliminates the indexing problem common to bolt-on sling swivel cups. Fixed sling mounts are also included for shooters who prefer a static loop attachment.
The no-slip cushioned buttpad absorbs some of the impulse that would otherwise transfer directly into the shooter’s shoulder, which adds up during extended range sessions or when firing from awkward field positions. Two internal storage tubes run the length of the stock — useful for backup batteries, a bore snake, or a few patches, kept sealed and dry by water-resistant closures. All hardware is color-matched steel in Flat Dark Earth, and the polymer and finishes are built to mil-spec standards. Made in the USA.
