Description
The B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD stock is built around the original Crane NSWC SOPMOD buttstock geometry, a design developed specifically for military carbine applications where consistent cheek weld matters under varied shooting conditions. B5 has retained that familiar profile while addressing several practical shortcomings of the original pattern.
Fitting mil-spec carbine receiver extensions, the stock uses a suregrip latch mechanism that reduces the slop and rattle common in collapsible stocks — useful when a loose stock shifts point of aim during sustained fire or movement. The cushioned, non-slip buttpad keeps the stock seated in the shoulder pocket without walking during recoil, which matters particularly when shooting from unconventional positions or over a barricade.
Sling attachment is handled two ways: fixed sling mounts provide a solid, no-movement anchor point, while the overmolded steel anti-rotation QD mounts accept standard quick-disconnect swivels and keep them from rotating under load — a meaningful difference from QD cups that allow the swivel to spin freely and potentially snag. Both options are integrated into the stock body rather than added as afterthought hardware.
The two onboard storage compartments are water-resistant, giving you a protected place for a spare battery, a IFAK component, or any small item you want accessible but out of the way. Steel hardware throughout is color-matched to the Wolf Gray polymer body. The stock is manufactured in the USA and weighs 11.8 oz — light enough that it won’t meaningfully shift the balance of a trimmed-down build.
