Description

The Ballistic Advantage Premium Series threaded barrel is aimed at Glock 19 owners who want a drop-in upgrade that opens the door to suppressor or compensator use without sacrificing the reliability of a carry pistol. It fits Gen 3 through Gen 5 frames, so it covers most of the Glock 19s currently in circulation without requiring any fitting work.

The barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel, a grade chosen for its combination of hardness and ductility — it resists deformation under sustained fire better than standard stainless alloys while remaining workable enough to machine to tight bore tolerances. Ballistic Advantage holds bore deviation to less than .0001 inches, which is tighter than Glock’s factory specification and directly affects how consistently the bullet engages the rifling on each shot. Each barrel is honed, lapped, and tumbled before leaving the factory, so there is no break-in period and no rough spots to wear through.

The QPQ finish is a nitriding process that hardens the surface of the steel rather than depositing a coating on top of it. Because the treatment penetrates the metal, it does not add measurable thickness to the bore or exterior dimensions, and it provides corrosion resistance that holds up well to the holster wear and moisture exposure a carry gun sees. The spiral fluting reduces weight slightly and gives solvent somewhere to go during cleaning, which matters more on a suppressor host where carbon buildup accelerates. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 and ships with a standard thread protector included.
