Description
The Radian RAMJET and AFTERBURNER combo is built for the Glock 43 shooter who wants meaningful recoil management in a platform that still fits a concealment holster. Rather than adding bulk through a traditional threaded muzzle device, the system integrates a fluted 416R stainless steel barrel with a hardened 17-4 stainless steel compensator that locks directly onto the barrel without threads, shims, or Loctite. The attachment is handled by the INTRA-LOK system, a taper-lock design where a tapered screw engages an angled V-groove machined into the underside of the barrel. Because the geometry of that interface dictates rotational position, the compensator self-times every time it seats—no guesswork, and removal for cleaning is straightforward.
The AFTERBURNER itself measures just 0.47 inches in length, which keeps the overall profile compact enough to function with a wide range of holsters. Radian angles the front faces of the compensator specifically to avoid snagging on the holster mouth during draw. The fluted RAMJET barrel adds a gas-sealing chamber to the design, which works alongside the compensator ports to redirect propellant gas upward and reduce muzzle flip. Radian specifies a 44 percent recoil reduction figure when the two components are run together with 115-grain ammunition—a meaningful gain on a subcompact where the short grip and lighter mass already make recoil more pronounced than on a full-size pistol.
Both components are finished in Radianite, Radian’s own coating that combines low friction with high surface hardness and corrosion resistance, addressing the accelerated wear that compensator ports experience from sustained muzzle blast. The two-tone Black and Gray Radianite finish is functional as much as it is aesthetic.
