BCM’s KeyMod Picatinny rail section gives you a way to run a full Mil-Standard 1913 accessory on a KeyMod handguard without committing the entire rail surface to a fixed quad-rail setup. That matters when you want a single mounting point — a bipod, a pressure pad, a light — at a specific position, and nothing else in the way. KeyMod’s slot-and-lug interface lets you place it exactly where you need it and leaves the rest of the handguard uncluttered.

The section is machined from aircraft aluminum alloy and finished with a hard anodize, which keeps weight down while giving the surface enough hardness to resist the kind of wear that comes from accessories being swapped on and off over time. Mounting hardware is stainless steel, so the fasteners won’t corrode and seize in place after exposure to weather or sweat. BCM designed the assembly to be self-contained, meaning the hardware stays with the rail section rather than coming loose as separate pieces — a practical consideration when you’re working on a rifle in the field.

The 4-inch length provides seven Picatinny slots, which gives you enough travel to fine-tune the fore-and-aft position of whatever you’re mounting. BCM built in a snag-resistant profile that trims the sharp edges typical of full-length rail systems without compromising compatibility with standard 1913-spec accessories. The section fits any KeyMod interface mounting surface, so it carries over if you change handguards down the road. BCM recommends torquing aluminum rail sections to no more than 30 in-lbs at the KeyMod fasteners.
