Magpul’s M-LOK Type 2 Half Slot Rail Covers are built for shooters who want clean, uninterrupted handguard coverage without sacrificing the ability to mount hardware exactly where it belongs. When you add a grip, a light, or a sling attachment point to an M-LOK aluminum handguard, the remaining open slots can leave gaps in coverage—these panels exist to fill those gaps, working alongside full-size Type 2 Rail Covers to give you a finished, snag-resistant surface wherever space allows.

Each panel sits just 1/8 inch proud of the mounting surface, so the handguard’s overall profile stays slim and consistent in the hand. The TSP texture adds purchase without turning aggressive, and the beveled edges reduce the chance of the covers catching on gear during a draw or a transition. Because the design is non-orientation specific, you can install each panel in either direction without affecting how it locks or sits—useful when you’re working around asymmetric accessory layouts.

The center locking tab comes pre-scored, which lets you snap off a section and mix panels from different color variants if you want a visual break between zones or simply need to trim the fit. Four panels are included per package, each covering half an M-LOK slot. These are compatible with full and half-size aluminum M-LOK handguards; they are not designed for polymer handguards, and will not seat correctly on wider, flatter free-float profiles where the center lock cannot engage.
